Founded in the year 1995 by Rajesh Mehta, Rajesh Exports is India’s largest Gold exporting firm. With revenue over Rs 175,000 crore, it stands seventh in the list of Fortune India 500. Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company also owns 80+ jewellery stores, with the brand name – Shubh Jewellers, across various locations in the state of Karnataka. It focuses on portraying South Indian jewellery designs that are quite popular in the country. The company plans to expand the presence of Shubh Jewellers pan-India.
With the business spread in multiple countries, Rajesh Exports processes over one-third of the world’s gold, and is the largest gold processor in the world. In terms of the total number of employees, Rajesh Exports is one of India’s biggest companies with workforce strength of more than 400 people. Talking about the company’s acquisition, the most prominent among many came in the year 2015 when it acquired Valcambi, a Swiss precious metal refining company, for $400 million. With this, Rajesh Exports became a leader in the field.
