Darpan Sanghvi – Early Life
Sanghvi’s journey as an entrepreneur began at a young age, long before he found success in The Good Glamm Group. A passionate learner willing to adapt, Sanghvi received an undergraduate degree from the University of Pune and an MBA from ESADE Business School.
He has been associated with various business ventures throughout his career, starting with Baazee.com in 1999, present-day eBay India, as a Marketing and Business Development Manager for one year. He then started working with Celanese, a global leader in chemistry, producing speciality material solutions used across most major industries and consumer applications, as a Business Analysis Manager for more than two years.
Darpan Sanghvi – MyGlamm & the Good Glamm Group
After that period, he ultimately invested in building The Good Glamm Group and its flagship company, MyGlamm.
The Good Glamm Group was founded as MyGlamm in 2015, initially to provide at-home beauty salon service. Later, in 2017, it was relaunched and evolved as an online cosmetic beauty company in India to provide high-quality, affordable makeup products to Indian women. The brand quickly gained popularity thanks to its wide range of products, which include makeup, skincare, and hair care. It launched a luxe category in December 2018 through a collaboration with celebrated Indian fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, calling it the Manish Malhotra Haute-Couture Makeup. The luxe makeup line was further coupled with the Manish Malhotra Luxe Artisanal Skincare range.
In November 2020, MyGlamm unveiled their 3,000-square-foot experience store in Juhu, Mumbai, showcasing the brand’s entire range of cosmetics, skincare and salon services to offer a unique shopping experience to all beauty and skincare enthusiasts. In October 2021, the company released a line of hair care products called MyGlamm Superfoods. The MyGlamm Superfoods line was an instant hit and has since become a top-selling range in India. The Good Glamm Group made history in India in November 2021, when it became the first beauty commerce business to become a unicorn.
