Demonstrating his exceptional talent at a young age, Lakshya started his training at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy.

The year 2016 marked his first major triumph when he claimed the men’s singles title at the India International Series Tournament. From there, he went on to dominate the Junior Badminton circuit, earning the coveted number-one spot as a Junior Singles player in the BWF Junior World Rankings.

In 2018, Lakshya announced his arrival on the international stage by winning the gold medal at the Asia Junior Championships. He followed this up with a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in the same year, cementing his place as a rising star in the world of Badminton.

In 2019, Lakshya continued his winning streak by bagging titles at the Belgian International, Dutch Open Men’s Singles, SaarLor Lux Open, and Scottish Open. His winning spree culminated in his triumph at the India Open Final, where he defeated the reigning world champion, Loh Kean Yew, to secure his first super 500 titles.
