The son of Yadu Hari Dalmia, Puneet Dalmia along with Jai Hari Dalmia’s son Gautam Dalmia, represents the third generation of the Dalmia Group. Puneet joined Dalmia Bharat Group in 2007, and has contributed immensely to the growth witnessed by the conglomerate.
Puneet has been responsible for building scale in cement business, which flourished exponentially to the 4th position in the Indian market. He is known to have hired professionals across various industries, and had also carved the cement, sugar, power and refractory businesses into separate units.
Known for his strategic inputs to key decisions in the Dalmia Group, Puneet holds a B.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and is a gold medalist from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. In early years of his entrepreneurship stride, he proved his mettle by co-founding his own businesses JobsAhead in 1999.
Very soon, the business became one of the most flourishing businesses in the internet jobs marketplace, and with a 50% market share, the business was sold to the international giant monster.com
