Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is the third Indian woman to be crowned with the title of ‘Miss Universe’. She became Miss Universe in 2021, after Sushmita Sen in 1994, and Lara Dutta in 2000. Speaking about her past with respect to body shaming incidents and her introverted nature, Harnaaz said, “I think I have overcome that by believing in my strength and by believing that every individual is unique and that’s what makes them different.”

Taking inspiration from Priyanka Chopra for choosing modeling as her career, Harnaaz said, “Her aura reflects courage, determination, and a never-give-up attitude. Since her pageant days, she has been representing India phenomenally and has made India proud on a global level, and that is what I, too, aspire to do. She truly is an inspiration to me and many others.”
